There's nothing like the moment before the journey. The night before it. The dawn before you get into the taxi or drive. It doesn't exist yet, yet it's already here; the aura of the journey carries us away and intoxicates us with its scent and flavor, barely imaginable.
I love the intensity, excitement, and audacity of the moment you book your plane ticket. When the booking confirmation appears on the screen.
Because these feelings make me live, because I know the courage it takes the first time you dare to fly alone, I want to share all of this with you.
Who am I?
Hi! I'm Audrey. The world of travel excites me and excites me. I'm a dreamer, enthusiastic, and I love to laugh.
I imagine life as much as I experience it, I spend my time doodling ideas, building startups in my head, dancing and playing sports.
I just quit my job and decided to enjoy a moment of respite. The calm after the storm. I had a terrible burnout a year ago. I dropped everything and turned everything upside down. My life was turned upside down, a complete chaos.
As the months went by, I began to live life differently. To breathe deeply without gasping for air, without jolting, without jerking. I walked along the water's edge. I read, and I wrote. I changed.
My environment has changed despite me, with me.
And then comes the time for the journey.
A few years ago, I booked my first solo trip. In 2016. For the first time in Asia, it was daring. It was a life-changing experience. I gained confidence in myself and in others. I realized that we are never truly alone, only when we choose to be. Wherever we are, whatever we do, we must know how to count on others who sometimes go from strangers to friends in just a few exchanges when we are far from everything and especially our comfort zone.
I have been a mother since 2018. I have a little boy who is the treasure of my life and whom I have taken everywhere with me since his birth. He has traveled on the back of a donkey, a horse, a dromedary wrapped up against his mother to the four corners of the earth. It is a wealth that I wanted to give him as a gift and I worked hard until I burned myself to offer this life to my child.
I have been separated from her father since 2021. And the travels continued, driven by enthusiasm and the desire to see the world through the eyes of innocence.
After my burnout, which, in hindsight, was a real gift, I needed to catch my breath and go out on my own again.
I'm back from New York, where life took me and where I was carried by people, each more warm, friendly and inspiring than the last.
Because the story is beautiful, I want to share it with you. I'll revisit my important journeys to show you how I overcome my preconceptions, fears, and beliefs to move forward as I discover the world.
